Moist Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/3 cup water
Directions
- Preheat oven 350°F
- Combine cocoa, baking soda and baking powder in a medium bowl; set aside
- Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer at high speed until nice and fluffy
- Beat in mayonnaise at low speed until blended
- Alternately beat in flour mixture and water
- Pour mixture into cake pans
- Bake for 30 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean
- Cool cake for 10 minutes on wire racks
- Frost with your favorite frosting or sprinkle with a hefty amount of confectioners sugar
