Christmas Pudding

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix together the egg and the oil
  2. Add all the other ingredients and mix well together, then leave overnight
  3. Next day, grease a 2 pint pudding basin and have ready a large piece of foil to cover the basin
  4. Stir the pudding again and spoon it into the pudding basin
  5. Cover with foil, secure with string and steam for 8 hours
  6. Remove foil, recover firmly then store in a cool dry place
  7. On Christmas day, steam the pudding for a further 2 hours before serving

From original recipe: This is a lovely pudding, light, but full of flavour.
Substitute: all spice for mixed spice; walnuts for almonds
