Bread Buns

Directions

  1. Whisk yeast, 1 tablespoon sugar, and warm milk in a bowl
  2. Cover bowl with plastic plate and leave in warm place for 10+ minutes
  3. Add remaining sugar, malt, salt, oil, egg, and 1 cup flour to the yeast mixture
  4. Stir in while gradually adding remaining flour until consistency allows dough to be kneaded
  5. Knead dough on a floured surface for around 3 minutes
  6. Put dough in a oiled bowl, cover and leave for 1 hour
  7. Knead the dough on floured surface then divide into 12 pieces
  8. Roll each piece of dough into a bun, and distribute the buns evenly on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper
  9. Cover with a sheet of parchment paper and allow to rise in a warm place for 1 hour
  10. Bake at 350°F for 18 minutes, or until nicely browned
